Book Covers
This is the first of three covers that I designed for my design internship at UW Press. The Empress in the Pepper Chamber is about Zhao Feiyan and the Silk Pillow writings during the Han Dynasty, so the author felt that the cover should feel, "rich, powerful, dramatic, and lurid". She was also very specific that image should dictate a woman and a man in a court setting.

Book Covers
This is a collection of some book covers and mechanicals I have designed for school assignments and for my internship at UW Press.

Alone Together
This cover is a redesign for Alone Together by Sherry Turkle. It was an assignment for our design foundations class and I chose to use digital illustration to show the tense hold that technology has on our personal connections.

Wetlands in a Dry Land
The second cover I designed for my internship at UW Press. Wetlands in a Dry Land is about the human, animal, and natural influences that all shape a wetland. This cover required a lot of image research and iteration to achieve exactly what the author was looking for.
