TIMER APP

DESIGN 371: INTERFACE DESIGN

Concept: A simple timer app for that relies on visuals and gestures for people moving quickly. For this project I was asked to flush out three task flows, using Figma and Principle, to show how this app would function.

TIMELINE TO TIMEBLOCK

My original concept was to use the metaphor of a timeline to set time but  this metaphor got lost in the format and the interface was not intuitive so I moved to my final concept.

TASK FLOWS

1. Set a timer, timer goes off, resolve timer.

Using the block as the unit for setting the time, the user will adjust and set the time. From there the time is shown both visually, as it depletes from the block and numerically, counting down.

3. Add multiple timers to set

With the micro-interaction of a nudge suggesting to swipe, once the user swipes another timer appears and will disappear if not set.

2. Edit timer, resume

To edit the timer, pause and the option to drag the timer re-appears.
